This seminar seeks to prepare for the visit of Dr. Robert Bullard, a groundbreaking community-engaged scholar at the forefront of legal actions, scholarship, and policy for environmental justice. His accomplishments include expert testimony in Bean v. Southwest Management (1979), advocacy that resulted in the EPA Office of Environmental Justice, and the first national People of Color Environmental Leadership Summit (1991). We will think through scholarly and community interventions of environmental justice where we live, work and play. |
